RULES FOR VISITORS TO THE GARDEN
OF THE Lysice STATE CHATEAU
(HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE “GARDEN”)
Article 1 – GARDEN ACCESSIBILITY
The garden is part of a national cultural monument protected under Act No. 20/87 Coll. on National Heritage Protection, as amended.
Article 2 – VISITING HOURS
1. The garden is open to the public during the opening hours of the chateau.
2. Access to the garden may be adjusted by the heritage site administration if the operational or security situation requires so. For operational reasons (film shooting, commercial rental, etc.) the garden may be closed to the public.
Article 3 – ENTRANCE FEE
1. The entry to the garden is subject to a fee.
2. Persons under 15 years of age without an adult are not allowed to enter the garden.
Article 4 – ORGANISATION OF VISITOR ACTIVITIES
1. The tour and the stay in the garden are unguided.
Article 5 – PROTECTION OF CULTURAL MONUMENTS
1. The following is prohibited in the garden:
a. Consumption of alcohol and intoxicating substances. Persons reasonably suspected of being intoxicated or having used a drug or other addictive substances are prohibited from entering the garden.
b. Smoking (including electronic cigarettes), lighting and using open fire.
c. Using any type of pyrotechnics.
d. Carrying weapons.
e. Moving outside the marked paths, treading new paths/trails, picking and damaging flowers, plucking blossoms/leaves and fruits of trees, shrubs and other plants, breaking branches, climbing trees and shrubs, climbing over or under fences, walls and railings, hunting game and birds, or in any way harming and damaging or taking away the garden fauna and flora.
f. Using lawn areas for picnics; designated areas are an exception.
g. Feeding animals kept in gardens.
h. Climbing down and disturbing the home of the animals kept here.
i. In any way damaging, destroying or removing garden furnishings, writing or painting on walls, statues, tiles and paneling, rocks and other natural and structural elements in the garden.
j. Bathing in fountains and the pool.
k. Driving and parking motor vehicles, riding bicycles, scooters, roller skates, skateboards, etc.
l. Posting or distributing posters, leaflets, etc. without the knowledge of the chateau administration.
m. Throwing litter outside the bins or otherwise littering the garden.
n. Camping, playing ball games, sledging, skiing and skating.

p. Geocaching and placing "caches" in the garden.
q. Disturbing the peace, order, safety and good manners, loudly playing music or other sound recordings, shouting and loudly expressing oneself in a way that disturbs other visitors and the fauna.
r. Touching or tampering with the information system.
2. For the protection of the garden and its visitors, selected outdoor areas are monitored by a surveillance camera recording system. Information on data protection is available on the website www.npu.cz in the data protection section.
3. When taking a tour of the garden, visitors should pay particular attention to uneven road surfaces, lowered passages, water areas or other hazards arising from the nature of the garden. Visitors are required to take the utmost care for their own safety, the safety of any children they accompany and any other persons entrusted to them.
Article 6 – ENTERING THE GARDEN WITH A BIKE and other means of transport
1. Visitors riding bicycles, scooters, roller skates, skateboards, etc. are not allowed to enter the gardens.
Article 7 – ENTERING THE GARDEN WITH ANIMALS
1. Animals are not allowed in the garden (including on a leash).
Article 8 – TAKING PHOTOS AND RECORDING VIDEOS
1. Visitors are allowed to take photos and videos for their own use In the garden while respecting and protecting the privacy of other visitors.
2. Photographing and filming visitors for public presentation or commercial and wedding purposes must be arranged in advance, in writing, with the chateau administration, specifying the date of any photographing/filming and other details. Please send requests for photographing/filming to: lysice@npu.cz.
3. If a cultural or other event open to the public is held in the garden, the visitors acknowledge and understand that photo/video documentation may be taken during the event. Such documentation will be used exclusively to fulfill the legitimate interests of the National Heritage Institute (also referred to as " NPÚ") to promote the event, inform about the event, etc. on the Internet, in social media, printed materials, etc. Photo/video documentation will be taken mainly to capture the course of the event as a whole, not specific individuals. Should the visitors have any objections to this, they can contact the event organizer. The NPÚ always protects the personal data obtained against any misuse and processes them in accordance with applicable legislation. Information on the protection of personal data, including information on the rights of visitors, is available on the NPÚ website www.npu.cz, in the Personal Data Protection section.
Article 9 – FINAL PROVISIONS
1. It is strictly forbidden to excavate or damage surfaces and greenery in the garden using, for example, metal detectors.
2. Pitching tents and camping on the grounds of the heritage site is prohibited.
Article 10 – FINAL PROVISIONS
1. Visitors may submit their wishes, commendations or criticism in writing directly at the heritage site in the book of wishes and complaints, which will be presented to them upon request by the head of the heritage site administration. In addition, visitors may submit oral, written or telephone requests to: lysice@npu.cz, 516 472 235.
2. Under applicable law, visitors are liable to the National Heritage Institute or the heritage site administration for any violation of the Rules for Visitors and for any damage caused to property. The liability of the heritage site administration for any damage caused to visitors during their stay on the site is governed by generally applicable legal regulations. The National Heritage Institute shall not be liable to visitors for any damage resulting from a failure to comply with these Rules.
3. In justified cases, exceptions from the Rules for Visitors may be granted by the head of the heritage site administration.
4. These Rules for Visitors come into force on 1 March 2024, whereby the existing Rules for Visitors are repealed.
